Synopsis :
Tom Lamovitch is living the American dream with his wife and daughter in Boston. But then their daughter, Anna has an accident at school that leaves her in a coma. The doctors do all they can but to Tom and his wife Lea, it looks like all they’re doing is staking up more medical expenses. Lea works days and Tom works nights and they spend the rest of their time in the hospital watching over Anna.
Tom finds a book in the hospital that explains how certain frequencies can affect the brain and in some cases heal a loved one. He clinches to this idea and needs to try it on Anna. Lea and the doctor both say that Tom is crazy and he should be on meds but Tom knows it’s the solution. Tom’s friend Damien helps organize donations and even helps set him up with an interview for a better job but Tom can’t think of anything else besides a way to cure Anna. He passes a sign for a convention on brain waves and frequencies and stops to check it out but instead misses his interview for the better job with Benoit. His constant notes and lack of focus is noticed at his current job and when his boss catches him sleeping he knows it’s time to fire Tom. The doctor puts Tom on more medications that hopefully won’t have him missing interviews anymore and recommends a therapist.
Tom is not to be perturbed and fires up his machine to test his frequency on Anna. It’s a noisy mess but she responds, negatively. Her fever spikes and the machines beep like crazy until the doctors usher Tom and his machine away. Lea has had enough and sends Tom packing. Tom’s mental breakdown hits a spiral when he heads to the hospital in the morning to see that Anna is gone. Tom asks for information but when the doctor comes he gets scared and rushes away. He meets a homeless man who takes him to get his first bite since Lea kicked him out of the house. The homeless man introduces him to another homeless man and the cops come by. Tom’s new friend hands him something so the cops won’t see. They see.
After Tom gets out of jail he sees Lea again. She wants to see him in a psychiatric home. He’s not healthy but Tom insists that he’s never been better. The next day Tom gets everything ready for a final test on Anna. He breaks into the hospital at night and begins the work. By morning, there’s a response. Anna opens her eyes. Tom can’t be seen breaking into the hospital and leaves but runs into the homeless man who he met with his new friend. He’s not happy how things went down with the police and blames Tom. Tom goes to leave but he’s stabbed in the back. He dies knowing he saved his daughter.
